A Peace Circle is a way to bring restorative justice to a situation where there has been hurt, anger, or harm. They emphasize healing and learning through a collection of people aiming to repair harm that have been done to others by talking through problems. Peace circles combine reconciliation, responsibility and healing. In the case of a long, protracted situation where there has been hurt and wounded people, a Peace Circle can bring people together.
Peace Circles must contain a minimum of three participants.
Peace Circles can be used in different settings including companies, schools, churches, community groups, juvenile and criminal legal systems, and friends.
In Peace Circles we do not talk at people, we talk to people until we have a resolution to the issue at hand. We are there to solve a problem. It does not happen all at once… but it does happen.
